During my long journey through the Internet, I have seen it all. I own a couple of Online Businesses and like everybody else I had my good and bad experiences. I lived almost all my life in Italy (I am 110% Italian) and for this reason I have decided to start my own business related with Italy: www.BestInRome.com is my website for lodging and accommodations in Rome and Italy. When I started this venture I already knew everything about computers, the Internet and Italy. I have some believes: never compromising quality for pure revenues, being 100% honest. I put all my heart and knowledge into this business and although my company is small, we never fouled our customers; some of our competitors simply don’t care about their Customers.

In my long battle for ethical practices I had to improve my Search Engine presence over the Internet. You can be honest and ethical, but if nobody finds you over the Internet, you have no business. In the specific field of SEO I have seen all, especially unethical techniques. For this reason I recently decided to start a new venture: www.Computer-Fella.com is a website providing Affordable SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Services. My services are not only affordable, but more importantly, ethical. I won’t ever use “tricks”, known as “black hat SEO”, for any of my Customers. Affordable is, of course, a relative term. Out there I found companies asking for $1,500 a month (for a minimum of 6 months) and they did not even care to check out the website I asked them to optimize; in some cases they took a quick look at the website (less than 5 minutes, my logs prove this). I suspect that they use “tricks” or they are after your money. By affordable, I mean the use of “legal” techniques, charging a honest fee. A small company such as mine, has no big overhead costs and being small I may deliver a personalized service.

What about working for Corporate America? Well this was my shocking experience. I was searching for a job in the Computer field. I have managed several data centers while still living in Italy and I have an extensive experience with several classes of computers such as: IBM Mainframes, IBM midrange systems (S/36 and AS/400), PC’s (Windows and Linux), Servers (Linux). I know many programming languages, this is just a short list of them: Assembler, RPG II and 400, PHP, Javascript, HTML etc. Having this extensive experience did not land me into a job, just frustration. My blog will tell the story.
