Many people believe that PR (or Page Rank) is extremely important for their SEO efforts. First of all let me tell you that the PR appearing on the Google toolbar has nothing to do with the real PR used by Google; the toolbar shows only an approximation of the real value (which is logarithmic). I have several pages with a low PR (in some instance ZERO) and the results returned by Google give me a better exposure than many other websites with higher PR for the same keywords. If you focus solely on PR you are just wasting your time. Content is King as well as a good website design.

The most frequent question asked by my potential customers. How long it takes to see results? Well, it depends by many factors such as: how often their website is spidered by Search Engines, or how old is the website, or how well Search Engine Optimization efforts are developed, or how well is designed the website etc. One thing is very important. With SEO results require usually a long time, even months. This is a long-term strategy and shortcuts are too risky.

Another misconception in SEO: Backlinks. Although having many websites linking to yours is desirable, don’t make the mistake of thinking too much in terms of backlinks. If your website has a good content, other websites will link to yours, sooner or later. Investing too much time (and sometimes money) in this process won’t give you the advantages you hoped for. Rather invest your time in creating better content, better navigation structure and making your website Search Engine Friendly.

My very simple answer is: As Soon As Possible, even before having a website and a Domain Name. Why? Because a well thought Domain Name may help you in getting a better SERP (Search Engine Result Pages). Let assume that you are opening a new online jewelry store, and your name is John Doe. More than half people in the world would decide for a Domain Name such as JohnDoeStore.com
