I am damn tired of recruiters. These people treat you like a piece of meat. They are not any better than debt collectors. Admittedly (there are posts all over the Internet), they are just like any other sales person, they are at the same level of car sales people. There are exceptions of course, but I never met one of these exceptions.

Their real customer is the hiring company, not the job seeker; the job seeker is only an instrument they use in order to meet their quotas. The most common thing they do is collecting resumes. Why is that? They need your resume in order to:

  • Give their customers the impression that they have a long list of candidates, but they selected only the best. The truth is that they have already selected one candidate, and your resume, as well as many other, is just a filler.
  • They can meet easily their quota of “collection”. Many recruiters contacted me for job I was not even remotely qualified for. Or they are completely stupid, and most of them are, or they simply need to meet their quota.
  • A resume usually has a list of previous employers. This is an easy way to get a list of possible customers. They don’t give a damn about your resume.

I think now it’s time to fight these rascals. They are rascals because they take advantage of people in need, the job seeker, without even thinking that “maybe” the job seeker must make end meat. To be honest these so called recruiters have to comply to their companies’ policies, that ask for this kind of behavior. And who is the weak party in all of this? The job seeker of course; being in a condition of need we try to please in any way these people, not realizing that we play the game following their totally unethical rules. I have already posted what happened to me in my job search; from discriminations, to idiocy etc. Now it’s time to expose these people for what they are: low life individuals. My future posts on my blog will show name, surname, hiring company of people trying to “extort” with any pretext my resume.
