Another misconception in SEO: Backlinks. Although having many websites linking to yours is desirable, don’t make the mistake of thinking too much in terms of backlinks.
If your website has a good content, other websites will link to yours, sooner or later. Investing too much time (and sometimes money) in this process won’t give you the advantages you hoped for. Rather invest your time creating better content, better navigation structure and making your website Search Engine Friendly. The latter is a neglected issue, but if a website is search engine friendly, you will get a better exposure. Too many website have errors in their code hurting your SEO efforts.
