Since I am bombarded by time wasters (mostly recruiters) of any sort, people not even answering emails, not showing up to appointments, resume collectors and people practicing the “sport” of discrimination, I have decided to publish their names and what they did to me. Stay tuned for the updated list.

Ettain Group of Charlotte (NC), destroyed my life and I lost a bunch of money thank to their “placement” to New Breed Corp in High Point (NC). As far as I know the other staffing agencies aren’t any better. You should consider this: who is their customer? Not you, but the company you will, eventually, wok for. For this reason they care only for their real customers. The employee is just a piece of meat to throw into the job arena. Follow this link for the full story. I welcome comments about these rascals. Do not be fooled by them, fight back.

After a long time I finally got news from Ettain. Do you think this is due because they still have me in their heart? Not at all of course! Hey this is Corporate America not a Charity venture.

I hope you survived to my long post about this unfortunate experience. Luckily for me I did not have to say goodbye to our “hero” Jeff Jacobs. I am kind only with kind people, not with rascals!

The second day of work is your last one? What did you do? Killed somebody or took money from the company? Not at all I just begged many times to have an assignment, something to do!! Of course you remember the sadly looking, although pierced, guy who answers, while shaking his own tail, when somebody shouts “Jeff Jacobs come here, there is another piece of meat for you!”.

Finally the “great” moment has arrived. It’s November 26th, 2007, a sunny and warm day. I am dressing business casual, and I look pretty darn good. My spirit is great, everything looks perfect. But wait! (as some commercials say). Do you remember the 4 red flags I was talking about in my first blog post? What is about to happen, is at the same time tragic and funny. Why funny? Because I have never seen in my life a “string” of stupidity and sloppiness all at the same time.

Well everything happened a few months ago. My lodging business (www.bestinrome.com) was not doing very well because the exchange rate Euro/Dollar was (and still is) very high so I decided to start a job search. I am a highly skilled IT professional, who decided to work almost exclusively with Linux; for this reason I was taking my certifications for this operating system. Last October 17 (2007) I was contacted by a recruiter of Ettain Group; this company has an office in Charlotte (NC). They needed for one of their customers a Linux Administrator. I was a good fit for this position and I was called by two guys of that company: New Breed (it’s a company providing logistic services in High Point). I remember only one name: Bill Whitaker who is a Human Resources person. They asked me a lot of questions (by the phone, not a face to face interview, making this my first red flag) and they were pleased by my knowledge of Linux; I was also totally honest about my lack of experience with the system (only 1 year), but if you take the time to read the post I publish on the Craig’s List you will see that I can do almost everything with a computer (be it a PC or a Mainframe); this is the link to my advertisement:
