Singing is a serious business and only Master Teachers should approach teaching. Barbara DeMaio Caprilli has studied voice with Florence Birdwell, who taught and mentored famous singers such as Kristen Chenoweth and Kelly O’Hara among others, including Ms. Caprilli herself. She also studied with Nancy Stokes Milnes who helped her finding the right repertoire and launched Ms. Caprilli’s International opera career. Having lived in Italy more than 16 years, Ms. Caprilli has reached a high level of perfection both in singing and coaching Italian and Italian repertoire for singers.

Her love for Musical Theater gave her the passion for teaching this discipline, especially belting. Her pedagogy is Internationally recognized. She teaches all over the world; while in Italy she replaced Maestro Carlo Bergonzi during his sabbatical from Fondazione Toscanini. She holds a BM and MM in Voice Performance from Oklahoma City University and DMA Vocal Pedagogy Candidate at Shenandoah Conservatory.

Haha! Funny. Hi, I am interested in starting voice lessons with a professional as yourself. I am 48. I studied with Dr Corre Brusse from New England Music Conservatory 10 years ago for about 5 years. My voice is better now, but extremely out of shape. I love Italian music and have studied it. Passionate about music. My voice is a rich soprano. But need a great teacher to help me reach my potential.
